Terms & Conditions

1. Membership Agreement

• Membership is available to families with children aged 2-12 years
• Parents/guardians must register and manage accounts for children
• Members must provide accurate delivery address and contact information
• Membership includes one-time registration fee of ₹100
• Refundable security deposit of ₹500 is required for all plans

2. Subscription Plans

• Four subscription plans available: Beginner, Toddler, Lite, and Bibliophile
• Subscription fees are payable monthly in advance
• Plans auto-renew monthly unless cancelled before due date
• Books are allocated based on selected subscription plan
• We reserve the right to modify subscription fees with 30 days notice

3. Book Borrowing & Exchange

• Standard borrowing period is 28 days per book set
• Books can be renewed once for an additional 28 days
• Free doorstep delivery and pickup within Chennai service area
• Book exchanges occur after completion of reading period
• Members can select books for children of different ages under single plan

4. User Responsibilities

• Handle books with care and protect from damage
• Keep books away from water, food, and direct sunlight
• Supervise children's use of books, especially board and sound books
• Report lost or significantly damaged books immediately
• Ensure someone is available at home during scheduled deliveries/pickups

5. Book Care & Damage Policy

• Normal wear and tear is acceptable (minor creases, gentle use marks)
• Significant damage includes torn pages, water damage, or missing pieces
• Damage charges are deducted from the refundable deposit
• Lost books must be paid for at replacement cost
• Sound books with non-functional components are considered damaged

6. Delivery & Service Area

• Currently serving Chennai metropolitan area
• Delivery timeline: 1-4 working days from book selection
• Free pickup and delivery for all subscription plans
• Service may be delayed during festivals or adverse weather
• Members must provide accurate delivery address within service area

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime
• Membership fee (₹100) is non-refundable after activation
• Security deposit (₹500) refunded after book return and condition verification
• Refund processing time: 7-10 business days after book collection
• Partial subscription refunds based on unused service period

8. Intellectual Property

• All books are protected by copyright laws
• Books are for personal reading use only
• No reproduction, scanning, or distribution of book content
• BOOKATROVE branding and platform content are proprietary

9. Limitation of Liability

BOOKATROVE Library is not liable for:

• Delivery delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances
• Individual reading preferences or book suitability
• Normal wear and tear of books through approved usage
• Allergic reactions to book materials (consult for specific concerns)

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Repeated late book returns or non-cooperation with exchanges
• Significant book damage or loss without compensation
• Violation of these terms and conditions
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Providing false information or fraudulent activities

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of modified terms. Members will be notified of significant changes via email.
